DESCRIPTION:The California Workforce Association (CWA) is a non-profit member association\, which represents all 45 of the Workforce Development Boards in the State of California\, as well as over 70 other affiliate members from labor\, education\, industry\, Chambers of Commerce\, government and community-based organizations. WORKCON is CWA’s Spring workforce practitioners conference. WORKCON 2025 will aim to showcase innovative and strategic collaborations\, partnerships\, programs\, ideas\, and principles that highlight the remarkable work of California’s Workforce Development Boards\, Community-Based Organizations\, Educational entities\, WIOA partners\, and all those who are invested in the success of their local communities and the people who live in them. \nOn April 30th from 10:30 – 11:30am\, Center SMEs\, Katie Adams and Melissa Aguilar-Southard\, will host the interactive workshop\, Aligning Workforce and Registered Apprenticeship: Key Components for Success. DESCRIPTION:Pennsylvania’s workforce development system and professionals are best equipped to navigate the changing economic times and complex rules and regulations and to center employer\, worker\, job-seeker\, and youth customers for success. PWDA serves as the voice of the Pennsylvania workforce development system and a clearinghouse for workforce development information statewide. They provide development and capacity building opportunities to workforce development professionals\, local workforce development boards (WDBs)\, and other stakeholders while continuing proactive advocacy efforts on behalf of Pennsylvania’s workforce development system. \nSafal Partners’ Apprenticeship Senior SME\, Alan Dodkowitz\, will present an interactive session\, Career and Technical Education and Registered Apprenticeship for Pennsylvania\, on May 1st from 2:30-3:20pm. This session will explore strategies for aligning RA with CTE pathways\, ensuring that students gain hands-on work experience while gaining the necessary related instruction. Attendees will learn how leveraging RA can enhance CTE programs by providing students with structured career pathways.
