Multiple Issues Faced by Truckers

As stated by the American Trucker’s Association, there is a shortage of 80,000 drivers leaving America in crisis because 71 percent of all freight in the US is transported by trucks.

Driver retention is also a huge problem with approximately 100 percent driver turnover rate.

Sexual harassment is a huge problem for women drivers, which could account for the fact that only 8 percent of truck drivers are women. Drivers are paid by the mile but work long 10-14 hour per day.
