South Korean Trucking Strike Reaching Day 7

Members of the Cargo Truckers’ Solidarity Union are striking for safer conditions and fair pay. The truck driver strike in South Korea has reached day 7.

Automakers and steel companies are suffering disruptions. Production was cut at one of the Hyundai Motors domestic plants and halted at Posco, South Korea’s largest steel maker.

South Korea’s Transport Ministry is urging drivers to return to work.
