Amazon had what they believe was their biggest Prime Day ever! Amazon sold more than 300 million items during its biggest sale of the year. CNBC reported that the company had Prime members purchasing “more than 100,000 items per minute” with the top selling categories in the United States being consumer electronics, home goods, and Amazon-branded devices. Consumers are increasingly dealing with inflation and it’s surprising how well the company has done in spite of that. Amazon’s Prime Day surpassed $11.9 billion in sales online, 8.5% higher overall e-commerce transactions generated than last year’s event. 58% of orders placed were under $20.

This year, customers decided to use Amazon Live with “more than 100 million views.”
