Pilot’s latest additions include a mix of new builds and dealer locations that continue to strengthen its coast-to-coast presence. Drivers can now pull into:

Leading the Way with Biodiesel

Pilot is also taking a forward-looking step by making clean fuel more accessible to the trucking community. Two of its travel centers—located in Decatur, Illinois, and Des Moines, Iowa—are now home to the country’s first retail B99 biodiesel pumps for commercial drivers. That means lower emissions without sacrificing performance.

B99 biodiesel, produced from vegetable oils, animal fats, or recycled cooking grease, is a game-changer for long-haul trucking. Not only does it offer a cleaner, lower-carbon fuel alternative, but it also enhances fuel efficiency and significantly reduces carbon emissions. Technology developed by Optimus Technologies played a vital role in this rollout by upgrading diesel engines to accommodate up to 100% biodiesel usage.

Where Can You Find Pilot’s B99 Biodiesel?

The first B99 biodiesel dispenser is now operational at Pilot’s Decatur, Illinois location (4030 East Boyd Road). Additional installations are on the horizon for:

• Des Moines, Iowa (11957 Douglas Avenue) – Coming this spring

• Dallas, Texas (8787 South Lancaster Road) – Coming this summer

This initiative has received strong backing from leading organizations such as the Iowa Soybean Association, Iowa Biodiesel Board, Illinois Soybean Association Checkoff Program, and the American Lung Association, all driving efforts to make low-carbon solutions widely accessible.
