Truck drivers across the country have once again weighed in on where they prefer to stop, park, fuel, and reset. Trucker Path has released its 2026 rankings of the top chain and independent truck stops, based entirely on feedback from drivers using the app.

The rankings reflect app ratings and reviews collected over the past 12 months from more than one million truck drivers. Those ratings were pulled from more than 9,000 truck stops and roughly 10,000 additional fueling locations listed in the app, narrowing the field to the Top 100 locations nationwide.

What’s New in the 2026 Rankings

A new Sustained Excellence Award was introduced for 2026. This recognition is reserved for truck stops that have appeared on the Trucker Path Top 100 list every year for the past five years, highlighting long-term consistency rather than a single strong year.

The rankings are broken out into chain and independent categories, with Top 5 lists for each. A combined Top 10 list highlights the highest-rated locations overall.

Top 5 Chain Truck Stops for 2026

Love’s Travel Stop #581, Salina, Utah

Truck Stop Sunoco, Grantsville, Maryland

Toot ’n Totum earned the top chain ranking for 2026. According to CEO Andrew Mitchell, the recognition reflects years of steady service to professional drivers.

“Being named a Top Truck Stop Chain — alongside our Stratford location earning the number one spot in the country — is recognition that our teams earn one driver at a time, one stop at a time,” Mitchell said.

“To the truckers who voted for us — thank you for trusting us with your stops,” he added. “Professional drivers are the backbone of our economy, and serving them well is something our team takes personally.”

Top 5 Independent Truck Stops for 2026

Stone’s Truck Stop was named the top independent location for 2026. Store manager Darin Whitlock said the focus has always been on offering services drivers actually use.

“We strive to offer the services that the trucking community values, including fuel, a café, prepared meals and beverages, showers, and laundry facilities,” Whitlock said.

How Drivers Use Trucker Path

Beyond rankings and reviews, the Trucker Path app provides truck-specific navigation, real-time truck parking availability, fuel prices and discounts, weigh station status updates, and access to truck scales and wash locations.

The company also operates TruckLoads, a digital freight exchange that connects drivers, carriers, and brokers, along with Trucker Path Insurance, a digital retail insurance agency serving truck drivers and small fleets.

For drivers planning routes in 2026, the latest rankings offer a driver-sourced snapshot of which truck stops continue to deliver on parking, amenities, and overall experience on the road.
