Impressively, 100% of the funds collected are dedicated to charitable causes, underscoring the organization’s commitment to giving back.

Since becoming St. Jude’s first corporate partner in 1990, the Averitt Cares for Kids program has donated over $14 million to the hospital. These contributions ensure critical support for St. Jude’s commitment to never charging families for treatment, travel, housing, or food. Their efforts help families focus entirely on their children’s recovery.

Earlier this year, Dale Elder from Daimler Truck North America met with his team in Charlotte, North Carolina to brainstorm ideas for a fundraiser supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. One of his team members suggested wrapping a truck, and Elder reached out to Adam Arrington from Lonestar Truck Group to make it happen.

Upon hearing the idea, R.E. Garrison’s President Wyles Griffith and Vice President Donovan Lovell were enthusiastic about the project. The R.E. Garrison marketing team worked closely with Jaylon Crump, the designer from Lonestar Truck Group, to create a design that tells the story of each honoree. The goal was to take these children’s stories on the road.

Once the truck designs were finalized, the next step was to figure out how to share them with the families. After careful consideration, it was decided that Cullman would be the perfect location. The families gathered for a dinner at The Venus at Cotton Creek, where each honoree was introduced to the industry partners present. Wallace State Community College even brought a truck simulator for the event.

The Garrison Gives Hope Ambassadors took families to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama on Saturday morning for an exciting event. In the evening, everyone gathered downtown for a celebration filled with fun activities, delicious food, lively music, and the presence of two eye-catching wrapped trucks.

Marketing statistics reveal that every mile driven by a wrapped vehicle creates 600 impressions. With an estimated average of 125,000 miles per year, these trucks will generate about 75 million impressions annually. Over the course of their four-year lifespan, they will be seen over 600 million times.

This is not the first time R.E. Garrison has utilized wrapped trucks to raise awareness. In the past, they have dedicated these mobile billboards to support causes like breast cancer and autism.
