]]> Shawnee Community College is expanding its CDL Program into Metropolis.

Dr. Tim Taylor, SCC President, stated that according to estimates from the Illinois Department of Labor indicate a local demand of 2,000 new drivers per year. He also indicated that the expansion at the Metro Center will increase the 30 graduates per year to over 100.

Rep. Patrick Windhorst stated, “This will provide one more opportunity that may not have existed without this training facility, and would not have been available in Metropolis.”
