The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is declaring a Texas-based motor carrier, Jaypur Logistics, as an imminent threat to public safety. This trucking company had almost double the national average of vehicles that were out of service as well as over five times the amount for the national average of driver out-of-service-rate. Very alarming numbers. On top of these numbers the FMCSA investigators say that this Texas-based company was shockingly noncompliant with more than a few Federal safety regulations. Here are just a few: Controlled Substances and Alcohol Use and Testing, Commercial Driver’s License Standards, Driver Qualification, Unsafe Driving, Hours of Service of Drivers and Vehicle Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance.

The intense lack of proper operations has directly impacted Jaypur Logistics and their overall rates. This is not the first time that Jaypur drivers have either been cited for operating under the influence and for on-duty possession of alcohol or drugs. Unlike most companies, Jaypur does not have any programs in place to detect these issues within their drivers prior and simply ensuring that all driver needs are met before, during and after their haul.
