Keller Logistics Group has unveiled a new wrapped tractor-trailer as part of Hope Hits the Highway, a national awareness campaign focused on fentanyl education and overdose response.

The initiative is a partnership between Facing Fentanyl, Keller Logistics Group, and the American Trucking Associations’ Trucking Cares Foundation. Along with raising awareness, the campaign encourages overdose response training by equipping participating drivers with naloxone, an opioid overdose reversal medication commonly known by the brand name Narcan.

The trailer was introduced at the company’s headquarters in Defiance, Ohio, and is expected to travel throughout the country as part of the campaign.

Drivers Volunteer as Ambassadors

Twenty Keller drivers have volunteered to serve as Driver Ambassadors for the initiative.

Each participating driver has completed training to carry and administer naloxone while traveling. The goal is to prepare drivers to respond to opioid overdoses should they encounter an emergency at truck stops, rest areas, or other locations along their routes.

Bryan Keller, CEO of Keller Logistics Group, said the company viewed the program as an opportunity to support communities while drivers are on the road.

“We don’t just hang our values on the wall,” Keller said. “We put them on the highway.”

A Rolling Awareness Campaign

The wrapped trailer serves as both a memorial and a public awareness campaign. Its design features the message “Educate. Act. Prevent.” and honors 19-year-old Jayden Miller, whose death from a fentanyl overdose inspired part of the initiative.

The artwork was created by artist Eden Neville in collaboration with Lowen Color Graphics and 3M.

Following its debut in Ohio, the trailer is scheduled to travel to New York City, where it will be displayed during events leading up to National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day in August.

Expanding the Program

Organizers say Hope Hits the Highway was designed with expansion in mind.

According to the American Trucking Associations’ Trucking Cares Foundation, the initiative could serve as a model for additional fleets interested in providing overdose response training for professional drivers.

Andrea Thomas, founder of ARMOUR Families and Facing Fentanyl, said the campaign reflects the transportation industry’s ability to reach communities across the country through the vehicles that travel America’s highways every day.

A Continuing Public Health Challenge

According to federal data, illicit fentanyl is involved in tens of thousands of overdose deaths in the United States each year. The Drug Enforcement Administration has also reported that many counterfeit pills it tests contain potentially lethal amounts of fentanyl.

While overdose deaths remain a significant public health concern, Ohio reported a decline in unintentional drug overdose deaths during 2025, a change state officials have partially attributed to increased public awareness and broader access to naloxone.
