Remembering Darrell Ward

One of the most memorable figures in Ice Road Truckers’ history was Darrell Ward, who joined the cast in Season 6. Ward tragically passed away in a plane crash in August 2016 in Montana. His son, Reno, also appeared on the show, carrying forward his father’s trucking legacy.

A History Channel Legacy

The series was created and narrated by Thom Beers, who also served as executive producer of another major History Channel hit, Deadliest Catch.
