Finding safe, reliable truck parking just got a little easier. Pilot announced the opening of two new locations this week, giving drivers 165 more places to park and rest. The new sites include a completely rebuilt stop in Findlay, Ohio, and a brand-new location in Eagle Pass, Texas.

For drivers running routes through the Midwest, the Findlay stop at 11471 State Route 613W has been redesigned from the ground up with truckers in mind. The site now features 80 dedicated truck parking spaces, clean showers, and public laundry facilities. There’s also a Taco Bell on-site, along with a deli offering both hot and cold meal options that make it easier to grab a quick bite between runs.

The Findlay location now includes three self-checkout stations to cut down on wait times, plus mobile fueling and exclusive driver rewards through the Pilot app.

Down south in Eagle Pass, Texas, Pilot’s newest stop at 4392 El Indio Highway brings even more to the table for drivers hauling through the Lone Star State. This location adds 85 truck parking spaces and eight diesel lanes designed to keep fueling fast and efficient. Inside, drivers will find the same clean showers, laundry access, and deli options that make Pilot a trusted stop across the country. Four self-checkouts make for quick in-and-out trips, and mobile fueling through the Pilot app offers extra convenience and perks.

Between the two locations, Pilot’s latest openings are helping to close the gap in truck parking availability, one of the biggest challenges professional drivers face on the road.

With hundreds of locations nationwide, Pilot continues to upgrade and expand its network to make life easier for drivers who keep America moving.

Pilot is making big moves across North America—expanding its reach, modernizing its travel centers, and stepping into the future with alternative fuels. In just the past few months, the company has opened multiple new locations and completed renovations at key sites, reinforcing its role as a go-to destination for professional drivers.

New Travel Centers Added Across the U.S. and Canada

Pilot’s latest additions include a mix of new builds and dealer locations that continue to strengthen its coast-to-coast presence. Drivers can now pull into:

Pilot #1439 in Port Allen, Louisiana

Pilot #1382 in Hudson, Colorado

Xpress Fuel #1312 in Vinton, Texas

Shell Flying J #851 in Monte Creek, British Columbia

Two new dealer-operated Pilots in Perris, California, and Cedar Grove, Wisconsin

These locations add more convenience and coverage for long-haul and regional drivers alike.

Travel Center Upgrades That Go Beyond the Basics

It’s not just about new openings—Pilot is investing in the experience at many of its existing sites. Eleven locations were remodeled during Q2, offering better amenities, updated layouts, and an overall improved stop for drivers.

Fort Pierce, FL (Pilot #90)

Benton, AR (Pilot #118)

Klamath Falls, OR (Pilot #504)

Madera, CA (Pilot #365)

Chemult, OR (Pilot #133)

Paducah, KY (Pilot #358)

Plymouth, IN (Pilot #198)

Erie, PA (Pilot #311)

Pearl, MS (Flying J #678)

Ogden, UT (Flying J #744)

Clint, TX (Xpress Fuels #1262)

Each of these sites now reflects a higher standard of comfort, safety, and service that drivers count on when they’re away from home.

Leading the Way with Biodiesel

Pilot is also taking a forward-looking step by making clean fuel more accessible to the trucking community. Two of its travel centers—located in Decatur, Illinois, and Des Moines, Iowa—are now home to the country’s first retail B99 biodiesel pumps for commercial drivers. That means lower emissions without sacrificing performance.

Putting Drivers and Guests First

“We are going the extra mile this summer to ensure we continue to create exceptional experiences for the over 1.2 million guests we serve every day,” said Brad Anderson, president, retail at Pilot. “Our purpose is showing people they matter at every turn, and that starts with our team members working across our network and continues with our investments in retail, to grow and update our industry-leading network of stores to meet the needs of our guests and the communities we serve.”

This May, Pilot Company is stepping up to drive stroke awareness during American Stroke Month by spotlighting prevention, education, and life-saving action.

From May 9 through May 31, guests visiting Pilot, Flying J, and One9 Travel Center locations nationwide can support the cause by choosing to round up their purchases at checkout. Every cent raised will go directly to the American Heart Association, helping fuel its essential stroke education programs and community outreach efforts.

“Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death in the United States, and raising awareness and providing lifesaving education is critical to helping people take action and save lives,” said Adrienne Ingoldt, Chief Marketing Officer at Pilot and member of the American Heart Association’s Life is Why Council.

This initiative strengthens Pilot’s long-standing commitment to the American Heart Association through its eight-year collaboration with the Life is Why campaign. In 2025, the focus will sharpen specifically on stroke education and prevention, with Pilot enhancing efforts through team member CPR training and distributing helpful resources about recognizing and responding to stroke symptoms.

A key part of this outreach centers on FAST—an easy way to remember the warning signs of a stroke:

Face drooping

Arm weakness

Speech difficulty

Time to call 911

Identifying these symptoms quickly can mean the difference between life and death.

To explore more about Pilot’s efforts this American Stroke Month or to find a travel center participating in the campaign, visit pilotflyingj.com/stroke-month.

Join Pilot in supporting stroke prevention. Small actions—like rounding up at checkout—can lead to big impacts in saving lives.

This May, Pilot is showing its deep appreciation for the service and sacrifice of veterans, active-duty military personnel, and their families by rolling out a series of exclusive offers and making a major contribution to a cause that supports their futures.

Giving Back Through Education and Support

As part of its ongoing support for military communities, Pilot is donating $100,000 to Folds of Honor. This nonprofit helps provide scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen or disabled service members and first responders.

“With contributions to organizations like Folds of Honor, we salute military service members’ legacies by helping provide educational scholarships,” said Meg Counts, Pilot’s director of corporate giving and events. “As a company grounded in serving others, we are honored to give our support to military members and their families who do so much to uplift and protect our communities.”

This donation is part of Pilot’s Miles of Good program, which aims to make a meaningful impact in communities across the country. Since 2020, the company has contributed over $2.7 million to military-related initiatives, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to those who’ve served.

Deals Just for Military Members and Their Families

Throughout May, veterans, active military, and their immediate families can access exclusive weekly deals through the myRewards Plus app, thanks to a partnership with ID.me for secure verification.

Each week, verified users can redeem three free offers at participating locations. These include complimentary Pilot coffee, fountain drinks, hot menu items such as pizza or breakfast sandwiches, and chilled beverages from the cooler.

Beyond these limited-time offers, verified military guests can also enjoy a 10% discount on food and beverages year-round through the app, making every visit a little more rewarding.

A Workplace That Welcomes Veterans

Pilot is also highlighting its commitment to hiring veterans and military families.

“As a proud employer of veterans, Pilot encourages former and transitioning military members and their families to join its team by visiting jobs.pilotflyingj.com,” the company said in a statement.

Pilot continues to strengthen its ties to the military community by focusing on career opportunities for former service members.

How to Get Started

To take advantage of these military appreciation offers, eligible users should verify their service status through ID.me within the myRewards Plus app. Once verified, they can load offers into the app and redeem them using their myRewards card, barcode, or phone number linked to their account at checkout.

From charitable donations to everyday perks, Pilot’s initiatives this May clearly show its continued respect and gratitude for the men and women who serve—and for the families who stand behind them.

In an exciting conclusion to this year’s Pilot Road Warrior competition, Elizabeth “Liz” Leon from Victorville, California, has been named the grand prize winner, earning a remarkable $25,000. Pilot made the announcement after sifting through numerous notable nominations and awarding four other weekly winners $1,000 each.

Liz Leon, boasting over 19 years of professional driving experience, plays a crucial role at 4Gen Logistics by transporting containers to and from Southern California’s bustling ports. Her career began with Toys R Us, where her love for the open road was ignited. Averaging 100,000 miles annually without any accidents, Liz has also been acknowledged by the California Trucking Association for her exemplary driving skills.

The Pilot team orchestrated a surprise visit to Rialto, California, on October 22 to celebrate Leon’s achievement before her shift at 4Gen Logistics. Joining this heartwarming event were her colleagues and family members, including her husband, daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren.

Jordan Spradling, Vice President of Transportation and Logistics at Pilot, expressed his admiration by stating, “Congratulations to this year’s Road Warrior, Liz Leon, who stood out among the many deserving drivers we read about during the contest,” said Jordan Spradling, vice president of transportation and logistics at Pilot. “We appreciate all the nominations and stories of drivers like Liz, Herschel, Joe, and Roy, who show up day in and day out, put in countless hours and miles and embody everything we value at Pilot. “This year, the Road Warrior contest introduced a new format, selecting four weekly winners who each received $1,000 and a chance at the grand prize. Alongside Liz, other weekly champions included:

Herschel Evans from Bremen, Georgia, boasts over 38 years of driving experience and 3.5 million safe miles. His dedication to helping families is evident through his involvement in initiatives like Atlanta Ride for Kids, Convoy of Care, and Safety Drive for a Cure.

Joe Mondor from Grand Forks, North Dakota, has amassed 4.5 million safe miles during his 33 years in trucking. Renowned as a safety leader and mentor, Joe is respected for his professionalism.

Roy Prentice from Reno, Nevada, has surpassed 3 million safe miles in more than 30 years of driving. He is celebrated for his commitment to assisting others both in the community and on the road.

These outstanding drivers exemplify the spirit of dedication and service that Pilot values and are a testament to the professionals who keep our roads safe and our supply chains running smoothly.

Pilot Travel Centers is set for substantial expansion in the coming year, as outlined in a recent news release. The plan encompasses the establishment of 10 new travel centers featuring 500 truck parking spaces, coupled with an expanded truck maintenance network in collaboration with Southern Tire Mart at Pilot Flying J shops.

The ambitious 2024 growth strategy also incorporates the addition of 25 dealer locations to the Pilot network, enhancing accessibility for drivers along their routes.

“Expanding into new communities and enhancing our services remains a key part of our long-term strategy,” said Allison Cornish, senior vice president of store modernization and development at Pilot Travel Centers. “We continually evaluate our network with our guests’ needs in mind and are making significant investments in our travel centers to provide drivers an exceptional experience at every stop along their journey.”

Last year, the company successfully inaugurated 10 travel centers and welcomed over 20 dealer locations into its network.

These new facilities strategically line major routes in key markets for both travelers and professional drivers, including Yucca and Ash Fork, Ariz., Colton and Rialto, Cal., Gallup, NM., McCarran, Nev., Edon, Oh., Holladay, Tenn., Odessa, Tx., and Wamsutter, Wyo.

Under the New Horizons initiative, Pilot Travel Centers aims to revamp an additional 75 locations this year, marking a cumulative total of almost 200 remodels since the program’s initiation in 2022.

The comprehensive enhancements involve curb-to-counter transformations, featuring revitalized restrooms and showers, upgraded kitchens, expanded food and beverage offerings, and modernized technology, as highlighted in the news release.

According to the news release, “In addition to expanding its travel center network, Pilot Travel Centers is looking to bring more top-of-the-line maintenance and tire services to its trucking customers through its partnership with Southern Tire Mart. “Over the next year, the company plans to add more than 30 shops to its travel centers, for a total of over 85 locations across the country.”

Pilot Travel Centers has reached a significant milestone with the completion of more than 100 remodels as part of its driver-focused $1 billion New Horizons initiative.

“Reaching 100 remodeled locations since launching our New Horizons initiative is a proud milestone for our teams and a reflection of our commitment to enhancing the travel experience for everyone on the road,” said Allison Cornish, senior vice president of store modernization at Pilot Travel Centers LLC. “These upgrades are an investment in our teams, in our guests, and in our communities, making our locations a great place to work and shop.”

To mark this achievement, the recently revamped Flying J travel center in Salt Lake City threw a celebration attended by notable industry figures such as the Diesel Brothers, the Jurgys (a travel-influencer family), local officials, and school district leaders. The event featured a day filled with music, games, and giveaways. Festivities commenced with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by the presentation of a $20,000 check to West High School’s Health Clinic. Attendees also enjoyed food sampling, fuel card giveaways, and engaging meet-and-greets with the Diesel Brothers.

The celebration and excitement extended to the newly reconstructed Pilot Travel Center in Greenfield, Ind., where a grand re-opening ribbon-cutting ceremony took place. This celebration included two $10,000 check presentations to each of the local school districts, exciting prize giveaways, Pilot swag distribution, food sampling, and a special appearance by social media influencer Clarissa Rankin.

“We received many requests from drivers to renovate the Greenfield, Indiana, store and its amenities, which is why we completely tore down and rebuilt a brand-new travel center with sparkling restrooms and more fresh food options,” Cornish said. “The feedback from our guests has been key to the New Horizons program, helping us evaluate which locations and what upgrades we will make as we continue to enhance our travel center network.”

Both the Pilot and Flying J travel centers in Greenfield and Salt Lake now boast an array of updated features, elevating the customer experience. These enhancements include refurbished restrooms and showers, a state-of-the-art kitchen offering expanded freshly prepared foods, self-checkout options, convenient laundry facilities, and an upgraded lounge catering to the needs of professional drivers. The New Horizons initiative continues to transform Pilot Travel Centers, ensuring they remain at the forefront of providing top-notch services and amenities.
