Pressure Systems International (P.S.I.) is making tire maintenance faster and easier with the launch of TireView LIVE Pre-Check, a new feature that lets fleets and drivers instantly see real-time tire pressure and temperature data straight from their mobile devices.

Simple Scan, Instant Results

The system relies on QR tags that come with each TireView LIVE gateway unit. Once paired with a vehicle inside a fleet’s TireView LIVE account, the tag is attached to that unit. From there, drivers and technicians can scan the QR code and immediately view the tire status right in a device browser—no app downloads or account log-ins required.

“Scanning the TireView LIVE Pre-Check QR tag gives drivers and pre-trip inspection personnel real-time tire pressures and temperatures for each tire position, quickly identifying any issues that need attention before they cause delays or in-route maintenance.”

The process is refreshable as well. Simply reloading the browser provides updated tire data without the need for another scan, ensuring crews always have the most current information at hand.

Boosting Pre-Trip Safety and On-Road Efficiency

With Pre-Check, inspections can be performed before a vehicle departs or at any point during the route. This helps fleets spot problems before they escalate, reducing the likelihood of breakdowns that lead to costly downtime.

The feature also supports fleets managing multiple vehicles. Each unit’s tire data appears in a separate browser window, allowing quick comparisons and streamlined monitoring. Registered users can still log into the TireView LIVE mobile app for advanced features if needed.

Lower Costs, Better Service

Unplanned tire issues on the road are one of the most expensive problems fleets face. Repairs at roadside service facilities often come at a premium, not to mention the disruption they cause to delivery schedules and customer satisfaction.

By giving drivers and fleet managers immediate visibility into tire conditions, TireView LIVE Pre-Check helps companies avoid surprise breakdowns and keep vehicles rolling smoothly. It’s a preventative step that pays off in reduced repair costs, better uptime, and improved customer service.

“Unscheduled repairs cost much more than doing maintenance at a preferred service location before deployment. Using TireView LIVE Pre-Check can help prevent these extra costs and boost customer service by providing real-time tire status with a quick scan of the QR tag, with no log-ins or app needed.”

Easy for Current Customers to Implement

P.S.I. has made adoption simple. Existing TireView LIVE customers can request QR tags for any new orders or for units already in service. A step-by-step how-to guide is included to make setup quick and seamless.

With this latest rollout, P.S.I. continues to give fleets smarter, more practical tools to stay safe, efficient, and cost-conscious on the road.

Aperia Technologies has unveiled a new connected tire monitoring and self-inflation system compatible with both medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, as well as trailers. Named the Halo Connect i3, this system integrates tire monitoring and automatic inflation, expanding on the company’s previous tire management solutions.

Engineered to enhance fleet efficiency and vehicle uptime, the Halo Connect i3 boasts features such as integrated pressure sensing, remote pressure set point adjustment, configurable alerts, and personalized inflation settings.

“We’ve got a brand-new inflation offer, completely connected, which now unlocks the Halo solution for all medium-duty fleets and is a better and more performant product for our traditional heavy-duty product,” said Ralph Dimenna, Aperia’s chief commercial officer.

The product was introduced at a news conference on March 4 during the 2024 Technology & Maintenance Council Annual Meeting and Transportation Technology Exhibition.

“This brings a whole bunch of firsts to the market,” Dimenna said. “We are bringing dynamic set point configuration, monitoring, and adjustment. These are fully connected inflators. You can communicate to those inflators two ways through all the different protocols.”

He also highlighted that customer feedback emphasized the demand for tire management technology applicable to diverse types of assets.

“It works on trailers, it works on medium-duty assets, and it works on heavy-duty assets,” Dimenna said. “We now have a single, fleetwide, comprehensive program that we can offer to our customers.”

The latest Halo system provides wheel analytics for each wheel position, offering flexibility for customization at the individual terminal, fleet-wide, or even down to a single truck.

“You can see at any given time exactly what is going on with every single tire on the vehicle,” Dimenna said.

Taking into consideration environmental conditions, such as temperature, around the vehicle, the system ensures the prevention of false alerts.

Dimenna emphasized that Aperia’s algorithms, tested over nearly 100 billion real-world road miles in the past decade, underscore the system’s reliability and robustness.

“That gives you unparalleled capability to understand what is going on with the product, what is going on with your tire, what’s happening with that inflation, and how do I tune my maintenance program to take advantage of that,” he said.
