Ohio Peterbilt is preparing to officially open its new full-service dealership in Etna, Ohio, adding another large truck service location along the Interstate 70 corridor east of Columbus.

The company announced that a grand opening celebration is scheduled for July 29 at 1 p.m. at the new facility, located about 20 miles east of downtown Columbus.

Ohio Peterbilt said Heavy D and Diesel Dave from the television series Diesel Brothers will appear during the event. The company also said select customers will have an opportunity to win a meet and greet with the pair by entering here.

“Our Etna location is more than just a new dealership, it’s a destination,” said Mike Crawford, vice president of Ohio Peterbilt.

The New Etna Facility Adds Expanded Service Capacity

According to the company, the new Etna dealership covers 82,000 square feet and includes 25 service bays, a central parts distribution center, expanded office and retail space, and maintenance operations designed to support fleets and owner operators moving freight throughout central Ohio and the Midwest.

The facility also includes direct access near Interstate 70, one of the region’s busiest freight corridors.

Ohio Peterbilt described the Etna project as a major investment intended to expand service capacity and improve support for customers operating throughout the area.

Grand Opening Event Will Feature Diesel Brothers Guests

“We’re excited to officially open our doors and celebrate with our customers, partners, and the community,” Crawford said. “Having Heavy D and Diesel Dave join us makes this event even more special, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to see what this facility has to offer.”

The company said the dealership was built to provide expanded truck service, maintenance, and parts support for drivers and fleets operating across the Midwest.

For more information about the Etna dealership and the July grand opening celebration, Ohio Peterbilt said customers can visit the company website.

Nextran Truck Centers has significantly bolstered its footprint in the Midwest by acquiring Quincy Mack, Decatur Mack, and H&L Mack. This strategic expansion adds five key dealership locations to Nextran’s network, increasing its total footprint from 26 to 31 locations across the United States and officially entering the Illinois and Iowa markets.

The newly integrated dealerships are located in Kansas City, Missouri; Kansas City, Kansas; Quincy, Illinois; Decatur, Illinois; Mediapolis, Iowa; and Hannibal, Missouri.

“Congratulations to Nextran on their recent acquisition. We also extend our gratitude to John Sharkey, the owner of Quincy, Decatur, and H&L Mack, for the exceptional sales, service, and support they’ve provided over the years,” noted Jonathan Randall, president of Mack Trucks North America. “Nextran’s continued investments reflect their dedication to the Mack brand and its customers. This acquisition not only expands Nextran’s reach but also strengthens their commitment to delivering quality service and support to Mack customers.”

Strategic Growth for Nextran Truck Centers

Founded in 1993 by Jon W. Pritchett, who currently serves as president and CEO, Nextran Truck Centers operates full-service dealerships in key states including Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Wyoming, Illinois, and Iowa. Their locations have been strategically placed along vital transportation routes to ensure seamless support for commercial trucking operations.

With this expansion, Nextran is set to boost annual sales to approximately 5,500 new and pre-owned commercial vehicles while growing its rental and leasing fleets to nearly 1,000 units. This addition enhances Nextran’s ability to offer unmatched service solutions for its customers nationwide.

Expanding National Reach

The acquisition of Quincy Mack, Decatur Mack, and H&L Mack is part of Nextran’s ambitious growth strategy, which has led to 12 new locations in the last four years alone. Today, their infrastructure includes over 530 service bays and a skilled workforce of more than 1,400 employees.

Speaking of the acquisition, Jon W. Pritchett president and CEO of Nextran Truck Centers shared, “With the acquisition of Quincy Mack, Decatur Mack, and H&L Mack, we are not only expanding our geographic footprint but also reinforcing our commitment to growth, service and support for our customers across the U.S. Their strong family-oriented culture and dedication to superior service align perfectly with Nextran’s values. We are thrilled to welcome them into the Nextran family and look forward to a bright future together. “
