The holiday season brings a chance for many to reflect on their needs, desires, and dreams. This year, we turned to our vibrant Facebook community of truck drivers to ask, “What do truckers really want for Christmas?” The heartfelt, practical, and often humorous responses paint a vivid picture of life on the road and the things that truly matter.

Time with Family Tops the List

For many truckers, the ultimate gift is simply to be home with their loved ones. Responses like those from Audry Williams, Randy Lancina, and Tam Montney reflect a common sentiment: “A week off for Christmas so I can be with family and friends.” Similarly, Jaime Alberto Perez Sr. shared his joy at already having the time off to spend with his wife and kids, followed by a New Year’s celebration in Puerto Vallarta.

Truckers like Reba Reynolds and Ken Kiley echo the longing for family time but also emphasize safety, with Reba saying, “Not only to be home but to make it home safe.”

Practical Gifts and Lighthearted Wishes

Amid the practical requests, some drivers shared personal dreams and fun ideas. Tatyana Zueva-Vatev wished to “win the lottery and finally be with my kids all the time,” while Amanda Belliveau recommended a thoughtful gift idea: a reheatable lunch box that’s perfect for truckers on the go.

For others, the holidays inspire dreams of adventure or a bit of indulgence. Tony Taitt wished for motorcycle parts and tunes, while Randy Mullinix had a practical yet stylish list including “stretch jeans, a Stanley coffee cup, and a matching western belt and boots.”

Some drivers kept their wishes simple and festive. Carolyn Myers hoped for “good food and good company,” and David Hall shared his lighthearted wish: “A GPS that never gives wrong directions—now that’s a Christmas miracle!”

Holiday Spirit on the Road

Other truckers highlighted the small joys that make a big difference during the holiday season. Samantha Greer wished for decorated truck stops to bring a bit of Christmas cheer to drivers far from home. Jeffrey Calloway said, “A warm meal shared with fellow truckers on the road is the best gift of all.”

Whether it’s a warm cup of coffee, a good laugh, or a heartfelt message from loved ones, it’s often the little things that make the holidays special for truck drivers. These moments remind us of the resilience and camaraderie among those who keep the wheels turning.

The responses from our community showcase the diverse and heartfelt wishes of truckers, from practical gifts to meaningful moments with loved ones. As the holiday season approaches, these insights offer a glimpse into the spirit of truckers who make incredible sacrifices to keep our world moving.

We’d love to hear more from you! Join our Facebook community and share your own holiday wishlist or trucking stories. Together, let’s keep the spirit of connection alive this Christmas.

To all the truckers out there, we hope you get what you truly want for Christmas—and most importantly, that you stay safe on the roads.
