Love’s Travel Stops has expanded its Illinois network with the opening of a new location in Rock Falls, adding 85 truck parking spaces along the Interstate 88 corridor. The new facility is designed to provide additional parking, fueling, and driver amenities on a heavily traveled freight route in northern Illinois.

According to Love’s, the Rock Falls location is situated near Interstate 88 and State Route 40, filling the gap between its Rochelle, Illinois, travel stop and the Iowa state line. The company said the new location strengthens truck parking availability while supporting freight movement through the region.

New Travel Stop Adds Driver Services and Amenities

The Rock Falls travel stop includes a range of services for professional drivers, including:

85 truck parking spaces
Seven diesel fueling bays
Four showers
Laundry facilities
CAT Scale
Dog park
Self checkout options
Love’s Fresh Food
Godfather’s Pizza, opening July 27
Naf Naf Grill, opening July 27

Love’s noted that truck parking remains free for its customers. The company also reported that it has added 1,076 truck parking spaces nationwide so far in 2026 as part of its ongoing expansion efforts.

Company Continues Store Improvement Projects

Along with opening the Rock Falls location, Love’s recently completed remodels at its Southeast Oklahoma City travel stop and four Kansas Turnpike locations in Belle Plaine, El Dorado (Towanda), Cassoday (Matfield Green), and Topeka.

The renovations are part of the company’s Road Ahead Plan, which focuses on updating existing travel stops while expanding its nationwide network.

Grand Opening Includes Community Donations

To mark the opening of the Rock Falls travel stop, Love’s announced donations of $5,000 to the Sauk Valley Foodbank and $5,000 to Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

The company also donated a combined $25,000 in conjunction with its recent remodel projects. Those contributions include $5,000 to Oklahoma Children’s Health Foundation, $5,000 to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas, and $15,000 to Ascension Via Christi in Wichita, Kansas.

The additional truck parking in Rock Falls provides another stopping option for drivers traveling across northern Illinois, where parking availability continues to be an important issue for the trucking industry.
