Truck Driving Simulator Excites Idaho High School Students

High school students are intrigued and excited to try out a truck simulator provided by an Idaho trucking association. With hopes to attract future drivers, Allen Hodges, President and CEO of ITA, hopes to use the simulators to reduce the US truck driver shortage.  Hodge stated, “Using the simulator to introduce students to a career in truck driving is more effective than talking and using literature and pictures.”

As a result of the popularity among students, many high schools have requested simulators for their students in hopes of leading them towards a trucking career path. This will benefit the students and help to alleviate US truck driver shortage.
