Aurora Innovation Inc. And FedEx are continuing to expand their partnership in autonomous trucking. This expansion includes hauling freight between terminals in Fort Worth and El Paso, Texas. These autonomous trucks are self-driving and have been running routes daily between Houston and Dallas, TX. The route between Fort Worth and El Paso is an important one since it is the middle leg of the route from Atlanta to Los Angeles. This is one of the busiest trucking routes in the whole country. Tens of thousands of shipments and deliveries have been made with these trucks, over 60,000 miles of trucking with no safety incidents. Aurora has been long invested in this process of automating routes. They have been running collaborations with companies like Uber Freight, Werner and U.S. Xpress, Volvo Trucks, Toyota Motor Corp and more to truly change the trucking industry.
