Giles embarked on his moving career in the early 1980s, starting with Wheaton’s Interstate Agent, Wooten Moving & Storage, in Jackson, Mississippi. Over the past three decades, he has worked directly with Wheaton’s corporate team, building a stellar reputation. Giles’ dedication has earned him multiple Driver of the Month awards, recognizing his outstanding customer service and impeccable safety performance.
“Gene’s customers frequently mention him by name in their reviews,” said Kevin Miller. “One recent testimonial even stated that Gene should be training other moving company drivers in customer service.”
Beyond his impressive safety and service record, Giles was selected for a noteworthy task. He was entrusted to transport a special trailer showcasing Wheaton’s partnership with Legacy List with Matt Paxton, a public television program that honors family memories during the downsizing process for senior adults.
Mark Kirschner, CEO of Wheaton World Wide Moving, commended Giles for the lasting impact of his work. “Gene’s lifelong hard work and quality service over the past three decades have earned the van line numerous repeat and referral customers,” Kirschner shared. “He is a valuable member of the Wheaton team and is highly deserving of the Lifetime Achievement Award.”
