Mack Trucks has reintroduced its Anthem model, branding it as “the new standard of regional haul.” This relaunch positions the Anthem, originally debuted in 2017 as Mack’s over-the-road truck, to excel in a new segment following the introduction of the Pioneer model earlier this year. The reshuffling of Mack’s lineup allows the Anthem to focus on its considerable success with daycab fleets.
At a recent launch event, Fernando Couceiro, Vice President of Highway Trucks at Mack Trucks, emphasized, “This is not a facelift or a refresh. This is a brand-new truck from the ground up.” While the Anthem and Pioneer share similar styling elements and 90% parts commonality, the updates and focus for the Anthem cater specifically to regional haul requirements.

The new Anthem boasts six different wheelbase options, ranging from 16 to 19 feet. A shorter 113.5-inch bumper-to-back-of-cab (BBC) length sets it apart, making it 12 inches shorter than the Pioneer and 4 inches shorter than the previous Anthem model.
