About
In April 2001, We decided to take a chance and start a freight brokerage company from home. We called it Expedite Logistics Services. It was a family business, as my wife Kelly would handle the accounting (as well as many other roles), and I would handle the logistics portion. In April 2004, at the urging of several customers, we purchased two trucks and three dry van trailers, and Thompson Transportation Inc. was born. In November 2004, we were large enough to warrant a move to our first office and hire an official employee. Fast forward nearly 20 years, and we’ve grown to 45 company trucks and 100 trailers with 50 drivers, 13 office employees, and a first-class onsite maintenance facility. Through all the growth, we’ve kept our values of being a family business front and center, and that family extends to our Thompson Transportation team.
