Truck drivers using WEX over-the-road EFS cards will soon have a new tool in their pocket. WEX and Trucker Path have teamed up to give carriers and drivers discounted access to Trucker Path for Fleets — a truck-safe navigation app built specifically for life on the road.
The partnership means eligible drivers can use the app at a preferred rate and tap into features designed to cut down on stress, delays, and wasted miles. That includes real-time updates on truck parking, weather, traffic conditions, and road closures — plus routing that helps avoid low bridges, tight turns, and weight limits that can lead to tickets or downtime.
Timothy Hampton, senior vice president and general manager of over-the-road at WEX, said the collaboration delivers practical value to drivers and fleets.
“Trucker Path for Fleets adds an important capability for our over-the-road customers,” he said. “Its trusted navigation technology helps drivers avoid hazards and reach destinations more efficiently. This is the beginning of a shared commitment to simplify fleet operations and make life on the road safer for truckers.”
Trucker Path is already one of the most widely used driver apps in North America, pulling data from more than 1 million users every month. The navigation adapts to truck size and weight, helping drivers steer clear of costly detours and restricted roads.
Chris Oliver, chief marketing officer at Trucker Path, said the benefits reach both independent drivers and fleet managers.
“The alliance between Trucker Path and WEX expands access to tools that benefit both drivers and the fleets they drive for,” he explained. “WEX customers will enjoy the same navigation advantages trusted by our community, plus added features for fleet operations — all at a greatly reduced cost. This is just the beginning, and we’re excited to introduce even more services in the near future.”
For drivers trying to shave time off their routes, dodge violations, or simply find parking before their clock runs out, this partnership could make daily runs smoother. Fleets will also gain more visibility and control over how their trucks move across the map.
More details, including signup and rollout timelines, are expected to follow as WEX and Trucker Path coordinate access for EFS users.
