About the Opportunity

Velocity Rail Solutions is seeking dependable CDL Class A Drivers with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements to join our elite team. We have an open PM shift position available:
  • Fueling Locomotives: This focuses on fueling locomotives, including loading and transferring red-dyed diesel  into locomotives.
These positions offers consistent, full-time hours, weekly pay, and year-round stability — no weather or seasonal slowdowns. You’ll be paid for a full 12-hour shift — including breaks, lunch, and dispatch wait time — providing income you can count on.  Job Duties 

  • Operate as a mobile gas station for the railroad, loading red dyed diesel and  fueling locomotives using a tractor-trailer tanker 
  • Work on an on-call basis during your shift — paid for the full 12 hours regardless of the number of dispatches 
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate fuel logs, delivery records, and inventory documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with railroad personnel to coordinate fueling operations.
  • Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols during transport and fueling.

What You Need to Bring

  • CDL Class A with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements. No Automatic Restriction. 
  • 1 year Tractor-trailer driving experience (Hazmat hauling experience not required) 
  • Ability to pass DOT and company background checks 
  • No drug or alcohol violations in your Clearinghouse
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled 
  • Strong communication and time-management skills

Physical Requirements 

  • Able to consistently bend, stoop, kneel, and climb on and off elevated surfaces 
  • May have to walk long distances on paved, unmaintained, or uneven surfaces 
  • Able to climb in and out of a truck cab multiple times per shift and climb a ladder or steps 10 or more times per day 
  • Able to drive and work outside in adverse weather conditions 
  • Willing to work with liquid hazardous and dry bulk materials 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently
