Truck Driver (CDL- A Owner Operator) – Intermodal

New Orleans, LA | Local + Regional Intermodal Freight

Gross Earnings: Approximately $200–$400/day | $1,000–$2,000+/week

HUDD Transportation is looking for experienced CDL-A Owner Operators for steady intermodal freight serving our New Orleans operation. Run a straightforward mix of local port freight and regional opportunities with consistent work and a driver-friendly operation.

What You Can Expect

  • Approximately $1,000–$2,000+ gross per week
  • Local drivers typically complete 2 moves per day
  • Regional drivers typically complete 1 move per day
  • Opportunity to earn more when higher-paying regional freight is available
  • Mix of local and regional intermodal work
  • Earnings vary based on lane mix, volume, and availability

The Work

You’ll handle intermodal container freight throughout the New Orleans market and surrounding region, including:

  • Local New Orleans-area port moves
  • Regional freight within approximately 150 air miles
  • Louisiana and Mississippi opportunities
  • Port pickups and customer deliveries

What We’re Looking For

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Owner Operator with your own reliable tractor
  • Reliable equipment
  • Intermodal / port experience preferred
  • Apportioned plates required for Mississippi loads
  • Ability to safely handle local and regional freight
