Wreaths Across America is calling on trucking companies and professional drivers to help transport sponsored veterans’ wreaths ahead of National Wreaths Across America Day on Saturday, Dec. 19.
The nonprofit said its 2026 Honor Fleet needs additional transportation support to serve more than 6,000 participating locations. More than 30 new lanes are available this year, bringing the network to 730 lanes and creating additional opportunities for carriers and drivers to take part.
More Carriers Needed to Move Wreaths
Each year, trucking companies and professional drivers help move sponsored evergreen wreaths to participating veterans’ cemeteries as part of Wreaths Across America’s annual mission to Remember, Honor and Teach.
The organization’s Honor Fleet brings together carriers and trucking professionals who volunteer transportation support. Drivers who participate are responsible for helping the wreaths reach their destinations, where Wreaths Across America volunteers often meet arriving trucks.
“The WAA Honor Fleet is made up of carriers and trucking professionals who go the extra mile to serve those who served us,” Courtney George, Wreaths Across America’s director of trucking and industry relations, said in the organization’s Sept. 23 announcement.
George said participating drivers help honor veterans who have been laid to rest while bringing the organization’s mission into communities across the country.
More Than 30 New Lanes Available for 2026
With more than 6,000 participating locations this year, Wreaths Across America said additional transportation capacity is needed to complete the 2026 deliveries. Carriers interested in joining the effort can review the organization’s open lanes for 2026 to see where transportation assistance is still needed.
Participation can also give trucking companies a way to involve their teams directly in the annual effort. Graig Morin, founder and president of Brown Dog Carriers in Biddeford, Maine, said becoming an Honor Fleet partner can help build connections among employees and the communities they serve.
For the professional drivers hauling the wreaths, the trip can also include direct interaction with the people taking part at the destination. Wreaths Across America said drivers are often welcomed by volunteers when they arrive at participating cemeteries.
