Averitt Express achieved a remarkable feat last year. Associates from across the company united to provide over 10,000 hours of community service in 2022. The inspiring mission was part of Averitt’s “Team Up Community Challenge,” demonstrating what true collaboration looks like.
Averitt rewarded their associates for their hard work and dedication with a matching contribution of $750,000 to Averitt Cares for Kids. This generous gesture was in honor of the valuable hours they’ve devoted as well as milestones achieved by each associate on the team.
“The Team Up Community Challenge is an important tradition for our team, and I’m very proud of how our associates stepped up to make a difference in our communities during 2022,” said Averitt’s chairman and chief executive officer, Gary Sasser. “I’m proud of the commitment our associates have to serving in our communities, and I’m even more excited about the potential we have to make a difference throughout our network in the future.”
The Team Up Community Challenge demonstrates Averitt’s commitment to giving back and making a difference in the communities it serves. Through this year-round initiative, associates from each of their facilities are encouraged to make meaningful contributions that impact local charities across the country.
