Diesel price decline slows

Diesel prices across America were going down consistently until recently. According to Fleet Owner, diesel prices were falling for 8 consecutive weeks and “the U.S. average price for a gallon of diesel fuel has slowed its decline, the national average decreasing a meager 0.2 cents since last week.”

As of August 22, the cost of diesel sits at $4.909 per gallon. According to AAA, the highest price for diesel was $5.816 per gallon on June 19, which is 84.3 cents higher than the current price. The AAA also publishes data for each state, whereas the EIA publishes data by region and sub region.

The West Coast saw the highest prices in the country. The East Coast was down 2.8 cents to $4.922 per gallon. Click here to read the full story.
