California Workforce Association WORKCON + Youth Summit 2025

The California Workforce Association (CWA) is a non-profit member association, which represents all 45 of the Workforce Development Boards in the State of California, as well as over 70 other affiliate members from labor, education, industry, Chambers of Commerce, government and community-based organizations. WORKCON is CWA’s Spring workforce practitioners conference. WORKCON 2025 will aim to showcase innovative and strategic collaborations, partnerships, programs, ideas, and principles that highlight the remarkable work of California’s Workforce Development Boards, Community-Based Organizations, Educational entities, WIOA partners, and all those who are invested in the success of their local communities and the people who live in them.
On April 30th from 10:30 – 11:30am, Center SMEs, Katie Adams and Melissa Aguilar-Southard, will host the interactive workshop, Aligning Workforce and Registered Apprenticeship: Key Components for Success. Participants will learn about the key components of workforce system alignment with RA, the benefits of aligning workforce systems with RA programs, and practical strategies and actionable ideas to build or strengthen workforce system integration with RA.
