  • Properly secure and tie down large, complex loads
  • Work safely with pilot cars and police escorts
  • Navigate permitting, routing, and safety requirements
  • Earn the confidence and credentials to become a professional heavy haul driver

Keep Your Miles Interesting with a Variety of Freight

With our flatbed division, you’ll haul some of the most impressive freight on the road: from heavy construction equipment to wind turbine blades and jet engines. Our experienced team has your back every mile, providing the support you need to maximize your earnings and take your flatbed experience to the next level.

 

Quick Highlights:

  • Guaranteed $1,400/week pay for your first 12 weeks
  • Start at 60-65 cents per mile (CPM), based on experience, plus accessorials
    • Average total compensation: 79 CPM (base 60 CPM + tarp pay + over-dimensional pay + drop pay + other accessorials). Actual earnings vary. 
  • $1,000 orientation completion bonus
  • 50% over-dimensional pay + increased tarping pay

Flatbed Lease Operator:

  • Lease-purchase terms: 1-, 2-, or 3-year options
  • Earn 70% of linehaul and accessorials
  • Drivers taking home $1,450-$2,900 after all expenses 
  • Mileage progression pay structure: the more you drive (or the longer you stay), the more you earn per mile

  • Drive 2022 or newer Freightliner, Peterbilt, or Volvo trucks

What You’ll Need to Join the ATS Flatbed Team:

  • Minimum 21 years old
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • At least six months of verifiable over-the-road (OTR) experience
  • Meet Dept. of Trans. (DOT) qualifications
  • Safe, stable work history
