Job Description

Regional/Local Class A CDL Truck Driver 

Morristown Express is a family-owned business that has built an amazing reputation locally as well as on a national level.  Located in Morristown, IN – we specialize in hauling soybean oil, corn syrup and chocolate for some of the largest manufacturers in the US. Our mission is to provide exceptional service to our customers by being committed to safety, being reliable and providing excellent customer service to our dedicated customer base.  

Morristown Express is currently looking for Regional/Local drivers. 

Pay and Home Time: 
– Top drivers can earn an average gross pay of $90K+ yearly
     – Average gross pay of $70K – $80K/year with the potential to make more
– Mainly afternoon/evening start times are currently available.  
– Drivers have the ability to stay out a night or two to run longer loads (regional), but must also be ok with out and back freight (local) 
– Weekly guaranteed pay 
– Weekend premium (paid per load) 
– $50 Sleeper Pay for drivers that take their DOT breaks in their truck away from the terminal 
– $7500 sign on bonus for new drivers 
– Unlimited driver referral bonus
– Quarterly safety bonus 

What else you can expect from Morristown Express: 
– Truck parking at home or at the terminal 
– Limited number of overnight trips 
– Combination drop/hook and live load/unload – depending on customer 
– Assigned late model equipment with free XM 
– Paid orientation and tanker training ($200/day for training pay) 
– Tanker endorsement required (we will reimburse if hired) 
– Less traffic at night 

Tasks and duties include (but are not limited to): 
– Maintain company vehicles with a focus on safety and efficiency 
– Driving the vehicle safely to your required destination and adhering to the customer’s requirements 
– Maintaining an accurate Elog, following FMCSA rules and regulations as well as accurately completing trip reports and other documentation 
– Strong customer service & communication skills with dispatch, customers and colleagues

To successfully secure an opportunity to work with us, you must: 
– Hold a Valid Class A CDL in the state in which you reside 
– Have 12 or more months tractor/trailer experience 
– Over the age of 21 
– The ability to pass a DOT physical, ergo test and drug screen 
– The ability to read, write and speak English 
– Have a good MVR and safe driving record
