Mother’s Day Make-A-Wish Truck Convoy Announces Updated Route for 2026 Event

One of the trucking industry’s longest-running charity convoys will roll with a new route this spring as organizers prepare for the 37th annual Mother’s Day Make-A-Wish Truck Convoy in Pennsylvania.

Make A Wish Philadelphia, Delaware, and Susquehanna Valley confirmed that the 2026 convoy will take place on Saturday, May 9, beginning at Manheim, PA Auto Auction. While the starting location remains the same, the route has been adjusted to improve safety for participants and surrounding communities while reducing traffic disruption.

The fundraising goal for this year’s convoy is $575,000.

Convoy departure details and route overview

The convoy will depart Manheim, PA, Auto Auction at 1:30 p.m. Trucks will enter Route 283 West at Mount Joy Road and travel in the right lane at a reduced speed with hazard lights activated. This approach allows other vehicles to merge and exit safely along the route.

From there, trucks will:

• Exit Route 283 West at Toll House Road
• Turn left and re-enter Route 283 East
• Continue to the Esbenshade Road exit

Only drivers transporting wish children will return to Manheim, PA, Auto Auction following the loop.

The updated route covers approximately 33 miles through Lancaster and Dauphin counties, not including the return segment for select participants.

Viewing locations and community access

Manheim, PA, Auto Auction and LCBC Church will continue to serve as primary viewing locations for spectators. Organizers noted that additional viewing areas will be announced closer to the event.

The revised routing is designed to allow the public to safely enjoy the convoy while limiting extended congestion on surrounding roadways.

Event organizers worked closely with local municipalities and transportation officials to finalize the updated plan.

A long-standing impact in the trucking community

The Mother’s Day Truck Convoy brings together truck drivers, wish children, families, volunteers, and local businesses to support Make-A-Wish’s mission across the Susquehanna Valley.

In 2025 alone, the convoy directly helped fund more than 40 wishes. Since the event began, the overall convoy program has contributed to granting more than 1,000 wishes to children facing critical illnesses.
