Outpost Expands with Three New Yards, Surpasses 10,000 Semi Truck Parking Spaces

Outpost is excited to announce the expansion of its fleet yard network by adding three new semi-truck parking locations across the United States. “Truck yards and terminals are critical infrastructure for the U.S. supply chain, but their high costs and long-term commitments make them incompatible with shifting freight demand,” said Outpost co-founder and CEO, Trent Cameron. “Through our expanding network of outposts, we’re transforming this real estate from a long-term capital cost to a flexible operating expense. We look forward to helping fleets use our three new yards in the Midwest and South as a virtual extension of their terminal network.”

The newly added properties in Detroit, MI, Memphis, TN, and San Antonio, TX will enhance Outpost’s presence in the Midwest and Southern regions, bringing the company’s total to over 10,000 semi-truck parking spaces nationwide.

Each of these yards is strategically located to bolster the U.S. supply chain. Memphis, at the intersection of major highways, serves as a key freight transportation hub across the country, while Detroit and San Antonio facilitate crucial trade routes with Canada and Mexico respectively.

These expansions are part of Outpost’s $500 million investment plan to broaden its network of industrial outdoor storage sites. Property owners and brokers with potential opportunities are encouraged to reach out to Dennis Nabors and Tres Teschke.

The 5-acre Memphis yard at 563 Winchester Road offers 150 spaces for tractor-trailers and other heavy-duty vehicles. Its proximity to major highways such as I-40, I-240, I-22, I-55, and I-69 provides easy access to nearby logistics hubs. Reservations can be made online at outpost.us/memphis. Meanwhile, the Detroit and San Antonio yards will add 55 acres and 1,500 new spaces combined to Outpost’s network. The company has acquired these properties and is developing them specifically for semi-truck parking, with openings planned for 2025.
