Additional paid truck parking capacity is set to open in South Florida this summer, adding hundreds of hourly spaces at Amerant Bank Arena, home of the Florida Panthers.
The project is being rolled out by ParkPro, a national provider of commercial truck parking solutions. The company announced that the Sunrise, Florida, property will feature a designated truck parking zone offering secure, reservable spaces for carriers using its platform.
Up to 200 Truck Spaces at Launch
The announcement was made during the Truckload Carriers Association Conference in Orlando, Florida.
“In 2024, we announced the Panthers as our flagship host,” said Tra Williams, CEO of ParkPro, during a speech at the Truckload Carriers Association Conference in Orlando, Florida. “Since then, we’ve focused on execution — optimizing the platform, refining operations, and ensuring that when we go live, it works in the real world. When ParkPro is officially live, Amerant Bank Arena alone will create parking for up to 200 trucks.”
Once operational, the arena site will provide reservable, hourly parking designed for commercial vehicles operating in the region.
First Sports Venue to Support Paid Truck Parking
According to the announcement, Amerant Bank Arena will become the first sports venue in the nation to actively support truck parking while contributing to broader supply chain needs. The property was initially named ParkPro’s flagship host location in 2024.
The expansion comes as paid, reservable truck parking continues to grow in response to nationwide parking shortages. ParkPro currently operates in select markets across the United States, with availability tailored to carriers using its system.
The company also confirmed that the platform will officially launch on Platform Science, Apple iOS, and Android beginning this summer, allowing participating carriers to access and manage reservations digitally.
