Pilot and Flying J will offer veterans and active-duty military members a free sandwich and drink on November 11. The Veterans Day offer is available at participating travel centers, giving eligible truck drivers and other travelers a chance to pick up a meal during their stop.
Military members must verify their status through ID.me and claim the offer in the Pilot app. The meal includes a sandwich and a choice of coffee or a fountain drink.
The one-day offer is part of Pilot’s annual recognition of military service, which also includes a fundraiser supporting veterans as they move into civilian careers.
Roundup Campaign Runs Through November 15
Customers visiting participating Pilot and Flying J locations can round up their purchases to the nearest dollar through November 15. The money will benefit the Call of Duty Endowment, a nonprofit that helps veterans find civilian employment.
Pilot has partnered with the organization since 2019 through its Miles of Good giving program. Over that period, customers and employees have contributed more than $6 million, which the company said has helped more than 10,000 veterans transition into civilian careers.
The fundraiser gives customers an opportunity to contribute during a regular fuel, food, or convenience store purchase. Pilot said all money collected through the roundup campaign will go to the Endowment.
Military Savings Available Year-Round
The November 11 meal is a one-day offer, but Pilot also provides an ongoing discount for verified military members and their families.
Eligible customers can receive 10% off food and beverages through the Pilot app throughout the year. Military status verification is required to access the savings.
For veterans and active-duty service members planning a stop on November 11, the complimentary sandwich and drink can be claimed at participating Pilot and Flying J locations through the app. The separate roundup fundraiser will remain available to customers through November 15.
