Ryder System Inc., a leader in transportation and logistics solutions, is accelerating into the motorsports scene. The company has partnered with actor-turned-racer Frankie Muniz as a sponsor for the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
A Driving Collaboration
Stephanie Wicky, Ryder’s vice president of marketing, shared the company’s enthusiasm for the sponsorship. “As one of the largest commercial truck fleet owners in North America, we see tremendous business value in aligning with a NASCAR truck driver,” said Wicky. “Frankie brings an incredible work ethic, determination, and passion for excellence—qualities that resonate with our brand and our customers in the commercial fleet rental and leasing industries.”
This electrifying partnership will see Muniz competing in the No. 33 Ryder Ford F-150 for Reaume Brothers Racing. The truck will sport Ryder’s signature branding across its livery, with team uniforms and race-day assets also prominently featuring Rider logos. The debut race? The Baptist Health 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway on March 21, 2025.
Muniz at the Helm
Frankie Muniz, well-known for his iconic role as Malcolm in Malcolm in the Middle, expressed his excitement for this collaboration. “It’s an honor to represent Ryder, a company with such a deep history in trucking and logistics,” he said. “The connection between NASCAR and Ryder makes perfect sense—both are driven by innovation, performance, and an incredible team behind the scenes making it all happen. I’m excited to get behind the wheel of the No. 33 Ryder Ford F-150 and compete at the Homestead-Miami Speedway.”
Muniz’s career transition from Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated actor to professional race car driver adds another layer of intrigue to this partnership, highlighting the fusion of entertainment and motorsports.
Honoring Ryder’s History and Values
The No. 33 holds special meaning for Ryder. The number and the Ford truck are a tribute to Jim Ryder, who founded the company in Miami with a single Ford Model-A pickup truck in 1933. Nearly a century later, the brand steps onto the NASCAR stage with a high-performance Ford F-150, honoring its roots while looking to the future.
This sponsorship also emphasizes Ryder’s commitment to celebrating the professionals behind the scenes. With more than 5,000 expertly trained truck technicians maintaining fleets across North America, Ryder’s dedication to technical excellence mirrors the meticulous preparation that goes into NASCAR racing.
Aligning Innovation and Performance
Ryder’s entry into motorsports goes beyond branding; it highlights a shared commitment to vehicle innovation and expertise. NASCAR’s relentless focus on advancing automotive technology complements Ryder’s mission of improving fleet maintenance, advancing technology, and promoting sustainable transportation solutions.
“Like Ryder, NASCAR prioritizes safety, innovation, and the expertise of the drivers and technicians who keep these vehicles performing at their best,” said Tom Havens, president of Fleet Management Solutions for Ryder. “There’s a natural alignment between our brand and NASCAR—not only in the vehicles but in the values we share. Frankie Muniz embodies the same drive and determination that has fueled Ryder for more than 90 years, and we’re excited to see the No. 33 Ryder Ford F-150 hit the track.”
