Eleven drivers from Schneider National’s Advantage Club were treated to an unforgettable NASCAR experience at the Drive for the Cure 250 in Charlotte, N.C. The highlight of their trip was meeting and watching Sammy Smith in action, driving the #18 Pilot Flying J car proudly displaying the Schneider logo. The drivers got an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the race day operations from the pit area alongside the Pilot Flying J crew.
Smith himself joined the Schneider team for a fun BBQ at their Charlotte Operating Center, where they received NASCAR-themed gifts and tickets to the upcoming race. As an extra special treat, members of Schneider’s maintenance team got to explore the Joe Gibbs race shop.
“We are appreciative to NASCAR and Pilot Flying J for including Schneider in a memorable week and creating an opportunity to thank our drivers for their hard work and commitment to safety,” said Rob Reich, Schneider’s executive vice president and chief administrative officer.
Schneider’s Advantage Club celebrates the accomplishments of drivers who have been with the company for a minimum of three years and have demonstrated a clean safety and performance record. The goal of the group is to honor these drivers and thank them for doing one of the most demanding jobs in the organization.
