Decatur. Co. GA – According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, an accident has been reported this morning involving two loaded semi trucks on Highway 27 S in Decatur County.
The two semi’s collided at the intersection of Edwards Road and Highway 27, south of Bainbridge.
The tanker was reportedly hauling 8600 gallons of gasoline, and despite being turned over in the ditch – did not spill any.
GDOT Reports that Southbound traffic will detour to Edwards Road to SR 309. Northbound traffic is being detoured to Attapulgus Climax Road to State Route 38.
GDOT is not sure how long the route will be closed.
