Patrick Tompkins is the proud owner and operator of a 2012 Kenworth W900 and a 2021 Mac Steel Dump Quad. He uses these to haul aggregate and blacktop throughout southeastern New York and New York City. When Tompkins first got the Kenworth three years ago, it had a unique history: the truck was totaled and rebuilt by its original owner.

This Kenworth is powered by a 550-hp Cummins ISX engine paired with an 18-speed transmission. The truck has several standout features, including a Jones Performance hood and laminate flooring. Inside, the cabin features custom color-matched upholstery, upping the overall customization of the truck.

The exterior is equally impressive. It features a hardwood deck fitted with recessed markers and turn lamps that enhance its functionality and visual appeal.

Tompkins has taken the time to make the Kenworth truly his own. Since purchasing the truck, he has added several personal touches, ensuring that it not only meets his operational needs but also reflects his style.

Looking ahead, Tompkins has plans to “change it up a bit in the coming years,” highlighting his ongoing commitment to maintaining and upgrading his rig.

In addition to its impressive features and customization, the Kenworth W900’s durability and power are critical to Tompkins’ work. They allow him to efficiently handle the demanding task of hauling heavy loads in a city as busy as New York. His dedication to maintaining and upgrading his equipment speaks to his professionalism and passion for his trade, ensuring that his truck remains a top performer on the road.
