The Trucker and Trucker Path have announced the winners of the third annual National Truck Driver Appreciation Sweepstakes (NTDAS). Joe Plaziak, hailing from Temple, Texas, has emerged as this year’s grand prize winner. His achievement was celebrated as part of the event aimed at appreciating the pivotal role truck drivers play in our economy.
Recognizing Dedication
Plaziak, who has been driving commercially for just over a year, hauls dry freight between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Greensboro, North Carolina, for Big M Transportation, based in Blue Mountain, Mississippi. Reflecting on his win, Plaziak shared, “I became a commercial truck driver a little over one year ago because I saw it as an opportunity to make a good living. Being named the Grand Prize winner in the NTDAS was a complete surprise, but it is very much appreciated because it will be a big help on the road. Especially as a new driver, I’m grateful to know that suppliers recognize how hard a job in truck driving can be, and that they appreciate our dedication.”
