A trucker from Hubbard, OR won a lifetime of weekly paydays through Oregon Lottery’s Win for Life game. Robin Riedel is a firm believer in “It’s not a matter of if, but when,” and his “when” finally came after 20 years of playing the game and he’s now set to receive $1,000 a week for the rest of his life. The concrete truck driver bought his winning ticket at Woodburn Liquor Store and found out online that he hit the jackpot.
“I hit it,” he said. “I hit it.”
Riedel plans to use his winnings of $52,000 per year to spruce up his home, pay bills, and travel to Saint Lucia for his upcoming wedding anniversary with his wife, Debi. Riedel is overjoyed and feels blessed to have won this incredible sum.
“The money will allow us to do some things we wouldn’t be able to do,” said Riedel. “I’m hoping to retire in another two to three years.”
