Wreaths Across America is calling on trucking companies and independent drivers to help transport veterans’ wreaths ahead of its annual remembrance event on December 19. The nonprofit has identified 730 available delivery lanes for its 2026 Honor Fleet, which helps move wreaths to participating cemeteries and memorial sites across the country.

The organization works with transportation professionals each year to deliver wreaths that volunteers place on the graves of fallen service members. More than 6,000 locations nationwide are expected to participate in this year’s event, with over 3 million volunteers anticipated to take part.

Trucking Industry Volunteers Needed for 2026 Deliveries

The Wreaths Across America Honor Fleet brings together carriers and independent truck drivers who volunteer their transportation services to support the annual event. With hundreds of delivery lanes still available, the organization is seeking additional participants to help ensure wreaths reach their destinations before December 19.

Courtney George, director of trucking and industry relations for Wreaths Across America, emphasized the role transportation volunteers play in the program.

“The WAA Honor Fleet is made up of carriers and trucking professionals who go the extra mile to serve those who served us,” George said. “Joining the Honor Fleet means making a meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of veterans and their families.”

Participation also allows trucking companies to involve employees in the annual remembrance effort. Graig Morin, founder and president of Brown Dog Carriers, said his company’s involvement has helped strengthen its connections with employees and the communities it serves.

More Than 3 Million Wreaths Placed in 2025

Wreaths Across America has organized wreath-laying efforts since 1992, working to honor fallen service members and keep their memory alive.

During the 2025 event, volunteers placed more than 3 million wreaths at 5,598 participating locations. The organization expects its 2026 program to reach more than 6,000 locations across all 50 states, increasing the number of destinations requiring transportation support.

Truck drivers and carriers interested in participating can review the available routes through the organization’s 2026 Open Lanes list. The page provides information about delivery opportunities for those considering joining the Honor Fleet.

National Wreaths Across America Day is scheduled for Saturday, December 19, 2026.
