Jonathan Pickle, a tow truck driver on the job, was shot while driving on I-20/59 in Bessemer, Alabama on Saturday, May 31, 2022 around 10:30. Pickle said, “I got shot and that I needed to get stopped to see how bad it was.” He said that a black sedan pulled up beside him and started shooting. Four bullets hit his truck.

Luckily his passengers were ok. Jeff DeShazo, who was having his car towed, called Pickle a hero and stated that he remained calm even though he had been shot.
