Interstate Health has introduced a brand-new clinic offering walk-in and primary care services conveniently located next to the Pilot Travel Center at 7210 Strawberry Plains Pike, just off I-40 at exit 398 in Knoxville.
This clinic aims to deliver easily accessible healthcare to commercial truck drivers, local residents, and travelers passing through the area.
“Knoxville is an important travel corridor for Tennessee and the Southeast United States with a vibrant community that lives and works alongside its highways. We are proud to offer local residents and those traveling on I-40 a convenient place to turn for walk-in and basic urgent care needs, primary care and occupational health services,” said Jeff Seraphine, CEO of Interstate Health. “We are especially excited to offer truck-friendly parking and efficient care to commercial drivers, the backbone of our nation’s transit and logistics infrastructure.”
The opening of the clinic was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Jan. 14, attended by representatives from Interstate Health, Pilot Company, the Tennessee Trucking Association, local business leaders, and officials from the Tennessee Department of Health.
Comprehensive Services for Drivers and Local Communities
The Knoxville clinic operates Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET, and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It welcomes walk-ins for urgent care, provides primary care services, and also offers occupational health care, including Department of Transportation (DOT) and pre-employment physicals.
Beyond urgent care, the clinic supports preventative health with vaccines, medication management, and wellness resources aimed at keeping patients in optimal health. A full list of services and contact details can be found on Interstate Health’s website.
Dedicated Care for Commercial Drivers
Interstate Health’s mission is to bridge significant healthcare gaps faced by commercial truck drivers, who experience higher rates of conditions such as heart disease, obesity, diabetes, and hypertension. Truck-friendly parking and quick, effective care are key elements of their service to better serve these drivers and reduce health disparities within this essential workforce.
Expanding Access Nationwide
The Knoxville clinic is the latest addition to Interstate Health’s growing network. Alongside this location, the company also operates centers in Cookeville, Tennessee; Shelbyville, Tennessee; Port Wentworth, Georgia; and Racine, Wisconsin.
Backed by seasoned experts in transportation and logistics, Interstate Health continues to prioritize improving healthcare access for both roadside communities and the trucking industry.
