Chester’s and Love’s team up for Truckersgiving

Recognizing the importance of truck driving professionals is a responsibility the truck stop Love’s and the fried chicken joint Chester’s take seriously. The two are teaming up this year to revive their yearly celebration aptly named Truckersgiving that celebrates all truck drivers do throughout the year, as reported by The Trucker.

On Nov. 17 truck drivers are welcome to enjoy a free Super Snack meal at every Chester’s that is located at a Love’s Travel Stop. Keep in mind though that the first 100 guests are eligible and the first 20 will also receive a custom Chester’s trucker hat.

William Culpepper is the vice president of marketing at Chester’s Chicken and spoke on how important honoring truck drivers is to their company.

“The role of professional drivers remains critical – especially during the holiday season – with the average driver clocking 60 hours of driving in one week,” Culpepper said. “We launched the first Truckersgiving with Love’s last year, and it was so well received that we had to bring it back in an even bigger way. Truck drivers are some of our best and most loyal customers, so offering this free meal to drivers across the country is our way of saying thank you for their important work.”

So, what does the Super Snack meal include? Two pieces of crispy fried chicken, one leg and one thigh, and a heaping side of crunchy potato wedges. This meal is made to keep truck drivers energized during one of the busiest weeks of the year for them. The lead-up to Thanksgiving sees record levels of truck traffic and since most drivers visit a Love’s two or three times weekly, offering this meal at their locations is perfect.

“Professional drivers can’t be thanked enough for their hours on the road,” said Joe Cotton, vice president of restaurant services at Love’s. “Truckersgiving is a new favorite tradition we’re proud to host with Chester’s Chicken to celebrate our professional truck driver customers and kick off the holiday season.”
