Hope Zvara Honored for Revolutionizing Wellness in Trucking

For years, truck drivers have faced a tough reality when it comes to health and wellness. Long hours behind the wheel, limited access to fitness facilities, and the demands of the job often make self-care a challenge. But thanks to Hope Zvara, the founder and CEO of Mother Trucker Yoga, a shift is happening. Her commitment to making wellness accessible for drivers has earned her a spot in the prestigious Howes Hall of Fame.

Hope Zvara’s path to becoming a leader in trucking wellness was shaped by her own battles. As a young adult, she struggled with anxiety, depression, and addiction. Yoga became her saving grace, giving her both healing and purpose. She turned her passion into a career, opening a yoga studio in 2006 and teaching movement in a way that went beyond the traditional mat.

Her journey took a new direction when she attended a business mixer in Wisconsin. When asked whether she had a wellness program for truckers, inspiration struck. She coined the name “Mother Trucker Yoga” on the spot, and what started as a spontaneous idea quickly grew into a nationwide movement.

Since its official launch in 2018, Mother Trucker Yoga has transformed the way drivers think about fitness. Instead of pushing complex routines that don’t fit into a driver’s schedule, Zvara developed a practical approach centered on simple, effective movements that can be done right inside the truck. This innovative method has helped thousands of truckers improve their health without disrupting their work routine.

Her wellness platform has expanded to include an easy-to-use app featuring instructional videos, a range of all-natural pain relief products under the Road Relief Wellness brand, and an array of educational tools, from books to webinars and industry training programs. The impact of her work extends beyond personal well-being—by helping drivers stay healthier, she’s also contributing to improved driver retention and longevity in the industry.

“I believe it’s entirely possible to change the narrative of health in this industry,” says Zvara. “Drivers should never have to choose between their health and their job. I want them to see that small, consistent changes can lead to big results.”

Her dedication has not gone unnoticed. The team at Howes Products recognized how her groundbreaking approach is changing the trucking industry’s mindset on health. Drivers who have adopted her methods call it a game-changer, proving that wellness doesn’t have to take a backseat to the job.

“Hope’s inspired passion for helping truckers realize the benefits of exercise in their extremely demanding jobs captured our attention,” said Robert B. Howes II, President of Howes Products. “It’s a critical step we’d like to see all drivers embrace and one we hope to shine a light on by inducting her into the Howes Hall of Fame.”

Joining the ranks of trucking and diesel-industry changemakers, Zvara’s recognition highlights her tireless work in reshaping driver wellness. Her influence continues to inspire truckers across the country, proving that a healthier future behind the wheel is within reach.
