J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc recently honored 84 drivers for their outstanding achievement of two million safe driving miles in 2022 at its annual Million Mile ceremony held at the company’s headquarters in Arkansas. An impressive $1.2 million was shared amongst these dedicated professionals as recognition and reward for their exemplary commitment to highway safety.

“These drivers are the pride of our fleet,” said Nick Hobbs, chief operating officer and president of contract services at J.B. Hunt. “The amount of hard work, commitment, and attention to detail that goes into achieving a million safe miles is such an impressive accomplishment, and these drivers have surpassed that at least twice. Our drivers never cease to amaze me.”

This year, four drivers achieved the incredible milestone of over four million safe miles. Congratulations are also in order for the second driver ever in the company’s history to reach a staggering five million safe miles driven. Since 1996, over 4,600 hardworking individuals have earned recognition on the Million Mile Wall at corporate headquarters – an impressive feat that usually takes 7-10 years of dedication for a driver to achieve.

J.B. Hunt has been rewarding safe drivers for decades with large bonuses in their Million Mile program! Starting at $5,000 when one million miles are achieved, safety awards double up to a maximum of $50K each time the milestone is hit.

Drivers and their families are welcomed at the celebration in Lowell, an event the company has hosted since 2001.

“This is such a great time to reflect on our safety culture by putting our heroes – the drivers who represent the best of the best – in the spotlight,” said Shelley Simpson, president of J.B. Hunt. “Day in and day out, these drivers are dedicated to delivering for our customers with the highest level of precision and caution. They are some of the most trusted people in the company and the reason why our fleet is one of the safest on the road.”
