Job Description

JBS Carriers is a leading multi-state and regional truckload carrier specializing in refrigerated and non-refrigerated freight, including live haul (cattle, hogs and poultry), tankers, container chassis and grain hoppers. Driver Pay Rates:

  • Earn $75,000 – $92,000 per year
  • Paid by the Load: average of $1,500 a week
  • Paid Wait Time during loading and unloading
  • Orientation pay

Benefits & Bonuses:

$5,000 RETENTION BONUS!!

  • Health Benefits: vision, medical, and dental coverage. Benefit eligibility begins after 60 days of employment
  • Paid: sick leave and six company observed holidays
  • 401(k) match of up to 50% on the first 4% of contributions. Company match begins at one year of service and follows a five year vesting schedule.
  • Rider Policy: available after 3 months, No pets
  • Simplified Orientation: Starts online and concludes at your local terminal

Up to a $3,100 bonus per driver referral:

  • $50 every week of your referred driver’s first year
  • $500 bonus when your referred driver hits 3-months

Work & Route:

  • Days and Hours: Monday through Friday; occasional Saturdays; early morning start times (2 to 6 AM) until 3 PM or later.
  • Driving Region: various local feed yards
  • More than Driving: the job requires coordinating load info with the plants, dispatch, and feed lots; drivers must also ensure the safe, humane handling of livestock.
  • Daily Home Time

CDL-A Shuttle/Short-haul/Local Truck Driver Requirements:

  • At least 21 years old
  • CDL-A with 1 year tractor trailer experience
  • Must have 48’-53′ tractor trailer experience
  • Mentor and Training programs are available for drivers with less than 1 year of experience
