Mack Trucks has announced a strategic partnership with Richard Childress Racing (RCR), positioning Mack as the “Official Long-Haul Truck of Richard Childress Racing.” This collaboration introduces a fleet of customized Mack Anthem 70-inch Stand-Up Sleeper trucks to support RCR throughout the NASCAR season.
According to David Galbraith, Mack Trucks’ vice president of marketing and global brand, “The Mack Anthem has repeatedly proven its dependability and quality for the last eight years serving as the Official Hauler of NASCAR.” He emphasized, “With superior uptime performance coupled with excellent efficiency, it only makes sense that RCR has entrusted Mack to haul its critical technology and equipment. We’re extremely proud to announce our partnership, providing us the opportunity to share the capabilities of Mack products and the excitement of the NASCAR season with customers and fans.”
Richard Childress Racing stands as a big name in NASCAR, boasting 16 championships and over 200 wins across NASCAR’s premier series. The Mack Anthem trucks will transport RCR race cars driven by team members Austin Dillon, Kyle Busch, Jesse Love, and Austin Hill during the race season.
Beyond just transportation, this partnership opens doors for Mack to provide unique experiences to customers at various NASCAR events across the nation. Customers will even have the chance to meet NASCAR Cup Series drivers, explore the customized Anthem trucks, and participate in RCR victory lane celebrations.
Torrey Galida, president of Richard Childress Racing, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “Richard Childress Racing is looking forward to the future with Mack Trucks, which will help ensure our success during the racing season by providing us with an integral transportation solution. Our partnership was made possible by our full confidence in Mack Trucks, whose values of excellence and innovation matches ours.”
Each custom Anthem truck for RCR is powered by a robust 13-liter Mack MP 8 engine, delivering 505 horsepower and 1,860 lb.-ft. of torque. The trucks feature Mack Command Steer, an advanced active steering system, along with Mack GuardDog Connect—a diagnostic and repair planning tool designed to enhance uptime by proactively monitoring critical truck components.
