Man struck by tractor-trailer while checking car for deer damage

On June 17, a man that hit a deer was then hit and killed by a tractor trailer in Myersville, MD. The Trucker reported that Jordan Scott, 33, “hit a deer sometime around 3 AM Friday morning on the westbound side of I-70, just before the Maryland Route 17-Myersville exit in Frederick County”. Jordan hit a deer, then stepped out of his vehicle to check his car for any damages that the deer might’ve caused and then was struck himself by a tractor-trailer. They also reported, “Police say three other people who were inside the vehicle at the time of the collision were not hurt … the tractor-trailer driver was also not injured”.

The crash left parts of the highway closed for a few hours. As highways become busier and the weather gets hotter, please stay safe on the roads!
