Millions in jewels stolen from armored truck in California

ABC News reported of a jewelry robbery from an armored truck in Los Angeles, California, earlier this week. It was reported that the Brink’s truck was holding millions of dollars’ worth of jewelry and gems. The jewels were from an exhibit hosted by the International Gem and Jewelry Show in San Mateo, south of San Francisco, and was headed to another event at the Pasadena Convention Center when it was intersected.

Group director Brandy Swanson told ABC News that 25 to 30 bags were stolen. “According to the information the customers provided to us before they shipped their items, the total value of the missing

items is less than $10 million,” Brinks told ABC News. There is not much information currently available on the robbery but the FBI in Los Angeles is conducting an investigation to learn more about the incident.
